Although prolific home-run hitter and former Oakland Athletics outfielder Jose Canseco long ago hung up his cleats, he soon bedizens himself in a pair of high heels and a dress.
In support of Bruce Jenner’s recent decision to shave his Adam’s apple, get breast implants, and start wearing dresses, the newly named Bash Sister will paint on some mascara, spray on some Chanel, and squeeze into a Donna Karan in solidarity with the Arthur Ashe award winner for bravery and courage.
The former 1988 American League MVP tweeted Thursday, “I wonder what I would look like as a woman. Move over Caitlyn.” For those who just awoke from a coma or have spent the last year on a fishing trawler in the North Sea, Caitlyn is the name Jenner took since his transition.
“In the very beginning, I didn’t understand it, so I was kind of like, against it. Once I watched it more and more, and realized what it really entailed, what he was going through, I started supporting him,” Canseco told the Daily News.
The controversial slugger will dress and live as a woman for a week, which will be documented on his new internet reality show, Spend a Day with Jose. Viewers will watch the cross-dressing, notorious steroid whistle-blower play golf and go bowling.
In 2005 Canseco, wrote the game-changing book Juiced. Here, the 35th greatest home-run hitter (462) in MLB history admitted to his own longtime steroid usage and shocked the sports world by claiming steroid use among baseball’s top stars. In the book, Canseco outed fellow Bash Brother Mark McGwire, as well as Rafael Palmeiro and Jason Giambi.
