Andrew Bogut fouled LeBron James. Then he accused him of flopping.
“I think he jumped into the cameraman,” Bogut told reporters of the baseline foul that resulted in a LeBron James gash. “Yeah, I think he came down and took two steps and then fell into the cameraman. I definitely, definitely didn’t hit him that hard.”
“That’s how you saw it?” USA Today reports a journalist asking. “No, that’s how it was,” Bogut insisted. “If you look at the replay, you can see the two steps being taken and then him falling into the camera. That’s what we saw on the replay, and that’s what my teammates saw.”
James revealed after the game that he received stitches for the second-quarter injury. The cameras revealed during the game that he received a kiss from his mother. No such sympathy came postgame from Bogut.
Bogut’s Warriors won Game 4 103-82, evening up the series, which heads back to Oakland for Game 5, two games apiece.
