Earlier this year comic actor Will Ferrell went on a baseball tour of sorts appearing as a player all across the Cactus League. Now Ferrell is set to get his own baseball cards.
The baseball stunt was part of Ferrell’s HBO special and featured the actor pretending to play several different positions on ten different teams early in March.
Now the actor is set to get his own baseball cards to commemorate the appearances.
Baseball trading card giant Topps announced via Twitter that it will be issuing a series of cards based on Ferrell’s performances as a ball player. The cards will be part of the company’s Archives Series.

Along with being part of his HBO special, the stunt was also aimed at raising $1 million in scholarships for cancer survivors.
The Saturday Night Live alumnus is no stranger to mixing sport and comedy. In addition to producing and playing a Ric Flair-inspired Ashley Schaeffer in HBO’s baseball-themed Eastbound & Down, Ferrell performed as the title character in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, starred in Blades of Glory, and performed as an aging player-coach in an ABA-style league in Semi-Pro.
Ferrell portrayed a spaced-out Harry Caray on Saturday Night Live and car salesman Ashley Schaeffer in HBO’s baseball-themed Eastbound & Down in addition to playing a semi-pro basketball player, a figure skater, a race-car driver, and other sports-related roles in feature films.
