For the second time in three days a hotel fire alarm woke members of the New England Patriots in the middle of the night.
Hours after the Patriots hit lights out, someone once again tripped the fire alarm in their Chandler, Arizona, hotel. This time the alarm was heard blaring at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass, located in the Gila River Indian Reservation, at about 2 a.m. early Thursday morning.
It is the second time this week that the fire alarm was tripped in the Patriots hotel. The alarm woke the team early on Monday morning, as well.
This second incident, though, seems to raise further suspicions that the alarm tripping is being done on purpose to disrupt the team’s sleeping schedule.
Still, several players, including quarterback Tom Brady, insisted that the fire alarm stunt didn’t wake them.
“I slept right through it,” tight end Rob Gronkowski said of Tuesday’s alarm. “I slept great last night. I’m glad I didn’t hear it.”
Today, Tom Brady insisted that the Thursday stunt didn’t upset him either. “I haven’t heard it. Must be sleeping through it, so that’s good,” Brady said. “I slept great.”
