Potential jurors who have been called to serve on the Aaron Hernandez murder trial have been given a 15-page questionnaire for lawyers to judge their suitability, a report says.

The 1,055 members of the jury pool have been called for the defense and prosecution to look over the questionnaire as the trial for former New England Patriots player Hernandez proceeds this month.

The 51 questions asked of the possible jurors include their thoughts on tattoos, what knowledge they have of Hernandez, and whether or not they had ever attended a Patriots game to see Hernandez play. Among the queries:

* “Have you had any personal experience with marijuana?”

* “Are you a fan of the New England Patriots?”

* “Do you own or possess any firearms?”

Jurors were also asked questions to determine just how much they understand about the law, the Constitution and the role of a juror.

The questionnaires will help the lawyers screen out potential jurors who either the defense or the prosecution might consider unsuitable to sit in impartial judgment of the former NFL player.

Eventually lawyers for the opposing sides will winnow the field down to 12 jurors and 6 alternates and the trial will proceed accordingly.

Hernandez stands accused in the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd. He has also been indicted for the July 16, 2012, killings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
