After the NFL fined him $100,000 for refusing to speak to the media last week, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch opened up to the Fourth Estate on Sunday. Kinda. Sorta.
“After the game, Lynch may have avoided another $100,000 fine from the NFL for not talking to the media,” Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune reported. “He sat at his locker wearing a plaid, hunter-style, fuzzy hat with ear flaps and answering 22 questions with 54 words in 3½ minutes of mostly “yeah.”
“Can you talk about the win against Arizona today?” “Yeah.” “How about the big game against the 49ers this week?” “Yeah.”
Lynch played poorly in the 19-3 Seahawks win over the NFC West leading Arizona Cardinals. He rushed for 39 yards on 15 carries.
Thankfully for Lynch, no smart-aleck reporter asked him if he keeps a dead prostitute in the trunk of his car or if he believed Justin Bieber knows football better than Pete Carroll or if he plans to sign with ISIS in free agency.
