76ers So Awful Papa John’s Changes Pizza Promotion

Papa John’s launched a Philadelphia-area “76ers Win, You Win” deal on pizza in October. But nobody won.

The promotion offered fans 50% off an online pizza order the day after a 76ers win. The 76ers couldn’t keep their end of the bargain. So Papa John’s changed the terms of the deal.

Philadelphia remains winless eleven games into their NBA season. So committed to failure was the team last season that they couldn’t even break the league consecutive loss streak, falling a game short at 26. They snagged two lottery picks in June’s draft. One of them plays in Turkey; the other sits on his couch nursing an injury.  

“All season long the day after the Sixers score 90 or more points,” the new promotion reads, “you get 50% OFF your regular menu price online order! The Sixers scored 90 in last night’s game against the Celtics, so you get 50% OFF your entire online order TODAY!”
