Tennis player Caroline Wozniacki finished the New York Marathon over the weekend with a time of 3:26. She just finished her tennis season in Singapore last week.

Her finish qualifies her for the Boston Marathon in April, which has a qualifying time of 3:35. She said she will not run in the marathon, but is happy she beat her goal of 3:30.
“After 15 kilometers, I was like, ‘Oh, I have to do another one,'” she said. “They said, ‘Wait, don’t say that yet. There’s still a long ways to go.’ At 20 miles, 6 miles left, I’m like, ‘I’m never running another marathon again.’ So I kind of changed my tune but just kept grinding out there.”
Her time is the best among active tennis players who have run a marathon. Amelie Mauresmo, Andy Murray’s coach, ran the marathon in 2010 with a time of 3:40. Her good friend Serena Williams greeted Wozniacki at the finish line.
