The Dallas Cowboys released Michael Sam on Tuesday. The move enabled the Cowboys to sign linebacker Troy Davis to the practice squad.
The defensive end, signed to the Cowboys practice squad after the Rams cut him during the preseason, thanked the team for the opportunity.
