Evidently, Cleveland Browns quarterback and former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel didn’t get owner Jimmy Haslam’s message when he was told to tone it down while he’s off the playing field.

Early this week, according to Sports Illustrated, Manziel was partying with boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr., Chantel Jefferies, and others at Justin Bieber’s condo when Beverly Hills police were summoned twice by complaining neighbors to quiet down the affair.

As reported by Cleveland.com, Browns owner was disturbed by a video of Manziel displayed on a social networking website. The short clip showed Manziel using a huge stack of money as a mock phone, talking into it saying he couldn’t hear “because there’s too much money in my f—-ing hand.”

On Friday, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Insiders that, “It did not sit well with the owner Jimmy Haslam, who did instruct his staff to at least have a talk with Johnny about being more savvy as he deals with social media.” The college football mega star responded to the cautionary comments from Haslam saying that “I am not doing anything wrong… I’m not going to change who I am for anybody.”

Meanwhile, Mayweather, who, according to Forbes, earned $105 million last year and remains undefeated as a professional boxer, was ecstatic about kicking it with Johnny Football. Mayweather has made wads of money betting on Manziel when he was field general for Texas A&M. TMZ Sports reported that the boxer bet $300,000 on the Aggies beating Arkansas and he collected nicely with their win.
