Ratings for Michelle Wie's Win at U.S. Women's Open Up 89%

Ratings for NBC’s coverage of Michelle Wie’s thrilling victory at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst on Sunday were up 89% from last year and were the best since 2007. 

Ratings for NBC’s coverage of the third round on Saturday were also reportedly up 80% from last year and were the best since 2008. 

NBC earned a 1.7 overnight rating for its broadcast of the final round in which Wie made a dramatic birdie on the 17th hole to win her first major.
