A group of Chilean fans breached security at the Maracana media center in Rio de Janeiro one hour before the Spain and Chile match. Chile eliminated defending champion Spain in the ensuing game.

Witnesses said the fans did not have tickets and wanted to get into the stadium. The people charged through the journalist area and knocked down walls and others. Security managed to hold onto 30 people, but some escaped. 

Security is a top priority in Brazil due to enthusiastic fans and threats from anarchist groups against the World Cup. Here are a few pictures from the incident:
