Tommy Lasorda on V. Stiviano: 'I Hope She Gets Hit With a Car'

Former Los Angeles Dodgers manager and Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda hopes V. Stiviano, the woman Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling told to not bring “black people” to his basketball games, gets hit by a car.

Lasorda, 86, made his impromptu remarks on Tuesday after being asked about Sterling, whom NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned from the league for life after his racist remarks on an audio recording that TMZ obtained and released.

“And I don’t wish that girl any bad luck but I hope she gets hit with a car,” Lasorda said in an interview with Erin Guy of WPBF 25 News in Florida.

Lasorda said he has been Sterling’s friend for 30 years and Sterling’s comments, though wrong, were not surprising.

“I’ve been a friend of that guy’s for 30 years,” Lasorda said.  “It doesn’t surprise me that he said those things. And he shouldn’t have said it. He just hurt himself by talking too much and doing things he shouldn’t be doing.”

Stiviano has said that she was Sterling’s “silly rabbit” and not his “whore.” Though she is being investigated for allegedly extorting Sterling, Stiviano, through her attorney, has maintained that Sterling consented to the recording, she did not leak the audio, and there was a third party present during the conversation.
