How does segregation solve racism?

Johnson made similar remarks back in the 1999 NBA Finals between the Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.

Johnson caused a stir by saying: “We’ve got a lot of rebellious slaves on this [Knicks] team.”

When asked at the time why he referred to his teammates as slaves, Johnson said: “I’ve got to explain that to you? We don’t go with the mainstream.”

The Clippers protested Sterling before their game against the Golden State Warriors by wearing their t-shirts inside out. Magic Johnson said he would not go to another Clippers game and President Obama said Sterling’s comments were incredibly offensive.
