A.J. McCarron better pray that Brent Musburger doesn’t try to reenact a scene from The Graduate at his upcoming wedding.
Katherine Webb announced her engagement to quarterback A.J. McCarron last night on Twitter. Webb claims McCarron helped design the gaudy ring.
The University of Alabama quarterback hopes to land with an NFL team in the upcoming draft, but his stock seems to have fallen out of the first round. Though McCarron will not be enjoying marquee money, he will at least come home after practice to a marquee beauty.
Just take it from Brent Musburger. “See that lovely lady over there,” the broadcaster blurted out during last year’s national championship game when the camera captured the former Miss Alabama. “Wow, I’m telling you, you quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman. Wow!” Musburger advised young male viewers, “If you’re a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with Pop.”
ESPN apologized for the septuagenarian’s verbalized amazement. But Katherine Webb took it in stride, and that’s another reason to love her. “You know I don’t think it was needed honestly,” Webb said. “I mean, of course I appreciate it, but at the same I don’t think I needed an apology.”
How else are men supposed to react to her?
