Former President George H.W. Bush and Texas Gov. Rick Perry attended Johnny Manziel’s pro-day workout on Thursday at College Station.
Bush is an Aggie fan, and his presidential library is at the university, which is also Perry’s alma mater. Bush and wife Barbara attended in golf carts and added even more hype to the event, which ESPN broadcasted live.
Manziel, dressed in helmet and pads, wowed scouts and general managers. He made an array of throws, showed how strong his arm was, and only two of his throws hit the ground–one was dropped by a wide receiver.
Manziel, described by Breitbart Sports as “Allen Iverson on grass” will likely be a top-10 pick and even has an outside chance of being drafted No. 1 by the Houston Texans.
