What did Richie Incognito’s Ferrari do to deserve Joe Pesci’s fate in Casino?
The beleaguered NFL guard, accused of being “loud, aggressive and boisterous, with little sense of social boundaries” in the Wells Report, took out his frustrations on his Ferrari. The fact that his victim was again black won’t do anything hamper charges of racism against the offensive lineman.
Scottsdale police investigated the matter today after receiving a picture of the damaged car through TMZ Sports on Wednesday. Scottsdale, Arizona police said Incognito took ownership for the damage inflicted on the car he owns. Since nobody filed a police report, and the vandal also appears to be the property owner, authorities in Scottsdale declined to pursue the matter further.
Incognito, after being suspended by the Dolphins in November for tormenting teammate Jonathan Martin, hopes to sign with a new NFL team this offseason. His status for next season is unclear. The NFL has yet to issue suspensions or fines on the scandal.
