As more horror stories are coming out of Sochi days before the Winter Olympics begin, one journalist reportedly refused to stay in a hotel room because sheets on the bed had an “indeterminate amount of semen” on it.

Writing about the games for Canada.com, Bruce Arthur detailed the various problems journalists are coming across at their many unfinished hotels before mentioning that:

One journalist in the Omega hotel complex had to refuse a colleague’s request to stay a night in the second twin bed because … well, there’s no easy way to say this, but when the first journalist arrived, someone had left an indeterminate amount of semen on the sheets of the second bed, and those sheets had been taken away for cleaning, and hadn’t come back.

Journalists have been frustratingly tweeting their experiences at Sochi–which have included water that was “very dangerous,” bathrooms with signs instructing them not to flush toilet paper down toilets, missing room reservations, unfinished rooms, missing lightbulbs and doors that have locked journalists inside their hotel rooms. The games, for many, are going to be miserable, contrary to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assurances that Sochi was prepared to host the Games.
