Johnny Football Declares for Draft, Hires LeBron's Marketing Team

Johnny Manziel, the electric Heisman Trophy winner who has been “Must-see TV” while he was the quarterback at Texas A&M, will forgo his junior year and enter the NFL Draft. 

Manizel also reportedly signed with LeBron James’ marketing team in addition to choosing “Select Sports Group out of Houston to be his contract agency.” Maverick Carter, who is LeBron James’ business partner, runs the LRMR marketing firm that will represent Manziel.

A top NFL scout, Chris Landry, told Breitbart Sports’ Daniel J. Flynn that Manziel will have a better chance of succeeding in the NFL than Tim Tebow. Breitbart’s Tony Lee has compared Manziel to Allen Iverson and predicted he would succeed at the next level as well. Whether Manziel succeeds at the next level may depend on how much time he devotes to studying film like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Andrew Luck. As Flynn noted, “perhaps most importantly, scouts wonder if he can trade the champagne room for the film room.”
