On Friday, LeBron James passed Larry Bird on the NBA’s all-time scoring list in the arena in which James debuted 10 years ago as a pro in Sacramento.
But he also injured his ankle when he landed on a referee’s foot and groin during the game. James is questionable for Saturday’s showdown versus red-hot Portland.
The shorthanded Heat lost to the Kings 108-103 in overtime
“It’s not feeling too well right now,” James said after the game. “I don’t know what happened in the first half. I played [much of] the second half and overtime, and strained my groin. I’ll see how I feel on our trip to Portland tonight and into tomorrow. But it ain’t feeling too good right now.”
James passed Larry Bird and Gary Payton and is now 29th on the all-time NBA scoring list.
