By virtually any standard, Russell Wilson is a fantastic athlete. He was a minor league baseball player, college football standout, and now an NFL star at the helm of the NFC favorite in just his second year in the leauge. According to Wilson, however, he is not even the best athlete in his own family.
The Seahawks quarterback says that his 15-year-old sister, Anna, is the family’s best. “It’s one of those things where you’re around someone you know is going to be special,” he said.
Wilson went on to compare his sister, who led her eight grade team to a national championship while totaling 17 assists, to a Candice Parker-type star. As a freshman, she averaged 16.5 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals per game, and is a heavily recruited college prospect.
