Big Man Looks to Krispy Kreme to Bolster NBA Skills

Most athletes have had to resort to healthy eating options in order to get in or stay in prime physical condition. Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tyler Zeller is taking a different approach.

He is looking to Krispy Kreme to enhance his basketball abilities.

When he confessed eating ten of the delicious donuts in once sitting, Zeller had no qualms in explaining his rationale. “They’re so good,” he said, unabashedly. “If you get them hot….”

Zeller went on to say that Krispy Kremes was part of a strategy to put on weight, particularly as the naturally slender post presence had a bout with the flu and needed to gain a few pounds.

Krispy Kreme delivered as Zeller is now 258 lbs, up from the 250 he played at during his rookie year where he struggled to compete in the paint from a physical standpoint.

As a rookie, Zeller averaged 7.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He will back up new acquisition Andrew Bynum this season.
