Swedish golfer Henrik Stenson, winner of this past weekend’s Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston, will donate $25,000 of his $1.44 million in winnings to The One Fund, a charity meant to help victims of the Boston Marathon.
The Boston Herald quoted Henrik Stenson as saying, “We are all wearing this ribbon today and this week, and I just felt like if I have a nice day today I want to give something back.”
The victory places the 37-year-old golfer at the top of the standings, ahead of Tiger Woods, heading into the final two tournaments of the FedEx Cup championship.
