Victor Oladipo and Kevin Durant squared off at the George C. Goodman League’s Roundball Classic held at DeMatha High School in Maryland. And while 6’4″ point guards don’t routinely guard Durant, the 6’9″ perennial NBA All-Star Forward and three-time NBA scoring champion, Oladipo did. Durant returned the favor, guarding Oladipo on the other end. The result was a freakish display of athleticism as the two traded blows. This YouTube video has a few of the highlights.
Durant, the 2007 overall #2 pick, scored a game-high 40 points. Oladipo, the 2013 overall #2 pick, scored a respectable 28. Both stars considered the game something of a homecoming. Oladipo played for DeMatha before going on to become an All-American at Indiana University. Durant grew up in Washington, D.C., playing his final year of high school ball at Montrose Christian School in nearby Rockville, Md.
