Update: NBA basketball player Lamar Odom has reportedly gone missing for 72 hours and friends and family feel that he may be hiding out while fueling his addiction to crack cocaine that may cost him his marriage and career:

Sources connected to the NBA star tell us people on Lamar’s side, and on the Kardashian side have not been able to find Lamar or contact him for nearly 72 hours — and we’re told the main concern is he’s hiding out while doing crack cocaine.

As TMZ first reported … Khloe Kardashian threw him out of the house Wednesday after attempting an intervention which Lamar squarely rejected.

We’ve already told you Lamar’s been battling addiction for at least 2 years — and even reluctantly agreed to go to rehab in San Diego a year ago … although he bailed after 3 weeks.

On the same weekend that former Knicks’ champion Dean Meminger was found dead after battling a cocaine addiction most of his life, TMZ Sports is reporting that Lamar Odom is addicted to cocaine and refusing to go back to rehab.

Despite two terrible seasons since earning the sixth man of the year award with the Lakers in 2010-11, LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers, who like Meminger attended Marquette, was close to re-signing Odom for another season at the urging of former coach Vinny Del Negro and other Clippers players, according to Yahoo Sports. The L.A. times reported 12 years ago on drug issues for Odom.

According to the report, cocaine use is the main reason for the problems in his marriage to Khloe Kardashian, and that he kept the problem under control during the past season but then immediately reverted, resulting in Khloe throwing him out of the house a few days ago after he rejected an attempt at an intervention.

There is no reaction yet from the Odom’s representatives or the Clippers.
