Phil Mickelson said that CEOs are not hiring in part because of the uncertainty surrounding Obamacare.
In an interview with CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo from The Barclay’s golf tournament that aired on Friday, Mickelson said he speaks to a lot of CEOs while he golfs and said many “are having a hard time hiring” because there is “so much uncertainty” around things like “taxes,” “healthcare” and “obligations placed on employers.”
The Obama administration has already delayed Obamacare’s employer mandate–which requires businesses that employ more 50 or more full-time employees to provide health insurance or pay fines–for a year because of the uncertainty surrounding the law.
