White House spokesman Josh Earnest said he was “not familiar” with the the horrific killing of college baseball player Christopher Lane when asked to respond during Wednesday’s briefing.
He then did not distinguish between Lane’s death and Trayvon Martin’s.
“This sounds like a pretty tragic case. [T]he president I think himself has spoken pretty eloquently about violence, He expressed his concern about the impact of violence in communities across the country,” Earnest said, before adding that President Barack Obama “expressed his concerns” about the impact of violent acts in America’s communities.
On Tuesday, three teens were charged in the killing of the college baseball player, whom they reportedly gunned down “for fun” because they were “bored.”
