On Tuesday, White House spokesman Jay Carney said President Barack Obama believed Alex Rodriguez and twelve other Major League baseball players who were suspended on Monday for allegedly using performance-enhancing drugs had “important responsibilities as role models.”

Obama, though, has not commented on the sex scandals involving Democrats like San Diego Mayor Bob “Filthy” Filner, New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, and New York City comptroller candidate and former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer.

And as Twitchy pointed out, the White House did not dismiss Major League Baseball’s performance-enhancing drugs scandal as “phony” like it did with Benghazi and the IRS’s targeting of conservatives and Tea Party organizations.

Fox News reporter Ed Henry reported on Carney’s comments.
