Magic Johnson played in some of the greatest NBA games of all time, but he is not sure he has ever seen a game as great as the back-and-forth NBA Finals Game 6 between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs that the Heat eventually won to force a Game 7 Thursday. Johnson initially said it may have been the greatest game he had ever seen, but later in the post game backed off slightly to say it was, “One of the greatest games I have ever seen.”

Bill Simmons, one of his ABC co-hosts, added that it was, “The toughest basketball loss I’ve seen in 25 years.”

Johnson added that he did not believe the Spurs could recover to win Game 7, but again backed off slightly by inviting the Spurs to prove him wrong.

One other TV revelation was that the NBA had brought the trophy out and started to set up for the awards ceremony for the Spurs. When asked about the move, LeBron James said that he and most of the Heat were upset by the trophy being brought out early.
