Nick Saban, who has been called the “devil” twice by fellow SEC coaches in the last year alone, expressed disappointment regarding the negative sentiment against him coming from his competitors.
The championship coach seemed particularly upset by the recent comments of Florida assistant Tim Davis, who worked for Saban with the Miami Dolphins and briefly with Alabama.
“I try to do right by the people that work for me,” Saban said, according to AL.com. “It’s a tough, demanding job. And at the same time, if anybody had an issue or problem with me, I would want them to just tell me.”
Saban also noted the competitive nature of the business but felt the comments were out of line. However, he did note that he did not feel that the Davis comments were representative of his protege, Will Muschamp.
