Maurice Clarett was a bust as a football player. A stellar running back at Ohio State before his collegiate career was cut short after one season, Clarett flamed out in the NFL.
Now, the troubled former football player has found a new sport and another ambition. For the past several months, Clarett has been working towards becoming a member of the U.S. rugby team in 2016.
The former national championship winning Buckeye has been working out with the Columbus affiliate Tiger Rugby club, a developmental team for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. He will participate in his first international event on May 25 in Mechanicsburg, OH.
