Earlier, Breitbart Sports noted that Kansas’s Ben McLemore could get consideration to be selected first overall in June’s NBA Draft. Now, early mocks are putting him ahead of Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel at the top of the draft.
Noel had been projected as the top selection until an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season. The remaining question marks could cause him to fall a little bit.
The mock draft found on NBADraft.net also places Victor Oladpio at #10 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, adding yet another dynamic young athlete for OKC. The Thunder currently sit atop the Western Conference but will likely get an early selection due to this summer’s deal that shipped James Harden off to the Houston Rockets.
NCAA stars Peyton Siva, Ryan Kelly, and Seth Curry are projected in the second round while Louisville star Russ Smith is omitted from the draft entirely. Notably, the mock also pairs Michigan guard Trey Burke with last year’s #1 selection Anthony Davis in New Orleans.
