When most of us screw up or fail to take appropriate action, we suffer. Unfortunately for most of us, we are not Tim Pernetti, the disgraced former Rutgers Athletic Director.
Pernetti, who resigned last week after the revelation of the shocking behavior of basketball coach Mike Rice and the failure of the athletic department to take action, will be riding high for a little longer.
The settlement reached by Rutgers University and the former AD resulted in $1.2 million, an iPad, a car allowance, a laptop, legal counsel should he need it, pension payments, and more than two years of health insurance for Pernetti.
Despite his failure to act, Pernetti will still receive these benefits even if he lands another job.
