Ashley Judd will not get tons of free publicity next week during March Madness like she normally does at this time of the year when CBS’s cameras focus on her in the stands during Kentucky’s tournament games.
Kentucky, the defending national champions, did not make the NCAA tournament this year.
Judd, the Tennessee resident who most likely will run for Senate in Kentucky, is a Kentucky alum and an avid fan of the basketball team. The Wildcats struggled considerably after freshman sensation Nerlens Noel injured his knee and was lost for the season.
The liberal activist and actress will reportedly, according to the Huffington Post, announce a run for the Senate around the time of the Kentucky Derby in May.
