The Iona Gaels (20-13) held on to win the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship over the Manhattan Jaspers (14-18) 60-57.
The Gaels, the second highest scoring team in the country, were down 35-30 with just under 15 minutes left in the game. Just over a minute later, the Gaels had pulled ahead.
They never looked back.
Guard Tre Bowan came off the bench to lead the way with 20 points. Leading scorer Lamont James (23.3 PPG) added 14 points for the Gaels.
