NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell appears set to continue his safety crusade, pledging that the league will do “everything we can” to make football safer.

Goodell’s comments came during a Q&A session following a lecture at the University of North Carolina.

Concussion related lawsuits from former football players have already led to several controversial rule changes. Some of those changes have football purists questioning the direction of the game.

”We know that in order to secure the future, we can and must do more to make the game safer, and in the process, we will make other sports safer as well,” declared the Commissioner.
