It did not take long for the Sacramento Kings to give up on their #5 overall pick, Thomas Robinson who was dealt to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
The deal was the first trade of the NBA Trade Deadline.
The Kings also traded forward Tyler Honeycutt along with the forward Robinson. The Rockets sent forward Patrick Patterson, center Cole Aldrich, and guard Toney Douglas to the Kings.
The Phoenix Suns also participated in the deal by supplying a second round pick in return for Rockets forward Marcus Morris. They already have Morris’ twin brother Markeiff.
The Rockets continue to assemble pieces that might be appealing to a player like Dwight Howard in free agency. Robinson, who has thus far had a lackluster NBA career, was a highly regarded prospect coming into the league.
