NBC News reporter Emma Margolin has yet to issue a correction to her false claim that MILO is a “white nationalist,” despite failing to provide any evidence to substantiate her claim.
Margolin, who works as a reporter for NBC News and MSCNBC, authored an article entitled ‘Leslie Jones Rips Simon & Schuster for Publishing Book by White Nationalist Troll Milo Yiannopoulos,’ following news of MILO’s $250,000 book deal last week.
In the piece, Margolin claimed that Jones was “lending her voice to a chorus of critics upset that Breitbart editor and leading white nationalist figure Milo Yiannopoulos has signed a book deal with a Simon & Schuster imprint.”
Margolin’s piece was based on a tweet by Jones to Simon & Schuster, who she accused of helping people to “spread their hate.”
NBC is not the only media organisation to smear MILO with the “white nationalist” label. USA Today issued a correction after falsely using the label, as well as incorrectly describing him as a member of the alt-right movement.
One of the internet’s leading white supremacist websites, The Daily Stormer, even declared a “Holy Crusade” against MILO in September, describing him as the “single greatest threat” to their anti-semitic and white supremacist movement.
DANGEROUS is available to pre-order now via Amazon, in hardcover and Kindle editions. And yes, MILO is reading the audiobook version himself!
