News media cutting away from President Donald Trump’s daily coronavirus briefings denied viewers “criticial information,” said Mark Cuban, investor, owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, and cohost of ABC’s Shark Tank. He joined Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow to discuss the coronavirus outbreak.

“First and foremost, [Trump] wants to keep people safe,” Cuban stated.

Marlow recalled Cuban’s Monday criticism of CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News Channel cutting away from Trump’s live briefing.

“I was watching the press conference [on Monday],” Cuban stated. “There’s no disputing that there’s a lot of hyperbole and a lot of marketing going on in those briefings, but be that as it may, they got to a point where I think the head of FEMA was starting to present all the different data as it relates to personal protective equipment, and where masks were being delivered, where ventilators were being delivered, where gloves and and isolation gowns were being delivered.

Cuban continued, “To me, that was critical information, because I — just as a citizen and knowing people who work on the front lines of healthcare — am concerned [and] I’m terrified for those folks when they go to work.”

“The only way for me to truly know if this is improving and how stressed I should be for these people is by seeing that data,” Cuban added, “and so I thought it was unwise when Fox, CNN, and MSNBC — because I was changing between all of them looking for it — went away from [Trump’s briefing], because it really was the only chance for the American people to get a feel for whether or not the shortages of [personal protective equipment] are improving or not.”

Breitbart News Daily broadcasts live on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
