WASHINGTON, DC – Breitbart News Senior Legal Editor Ken Klukowski joined SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon Monday on Breitbart News Daily, discussing the political ramifications of President Donald Trump’s “bold decision” to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the U.S. embassy to that ancient city.

“President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the embassy there shows three things,” Klukowski began to Bannon, citing his recent analysis of the president’s action: “The president’s commitment to keep his promises, the political influence of Evangelical Christians, and how committed those Evangelicals are to helping Israel.”

Klukowski acknowledged the role that members of the Jewish community had in helping President Trump make the decision, and singled out for praise Ambassador David Friedman, whom the president appointed as the U.S. representative to the Jewish State.

“But there are only about five to nine million Jewish Americans, that’s about 1.5 to three percent of the population,” depending on how pollsters define being Jewish, Klukowski explained. By comparison, there are “anywhere from 45 to 70 million voters” who are Evangelical Christians, providing percentages and statistics, and setting forth how active Evanglical voters are in supporting the president.
