Ryan Mahoney, spokesperson for the Georgia Republican Party, spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Tuesday regarding the Sixth Congressional District special “jungle primary” election in Georgia to replace recently appointed Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price (R).

Democrats have consolidated around Jon Ossoff, while eleven Republicans are vying to replace Price. Ossoff can win outright by getting over fifty-one percent of the vote; otherwise, there will be a run-off between the top two vote-getters nine weeks from now in the heavily conservative Republican district.

When asked about factors influencing the race, Mahoney said, “The overall issue right now is who is going to support President Trump’s agenda. And so the candidates on the Republican side are basically trying to express in various ways, shapes, and forms how they’re going to be supportive of the president.”

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
