On Wednesday’s Breitbart News Daily, Center for Security Policy President Frank Gaffney warned there is a “campaign of vilification” aimed at his organization and other supporters of President Donald Trump, which is part of an overall campaign to destroy the legitimacy of the Trump presidency.
He named White House advisers Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, Kellyanne Conway, and Sebastian Gorka as other targets of this campaign. (Bannon and Gorka are formerly an executive and editor with Breitbart News, respectively.)
“The good people who are working for this president, all of the ones I’ve just mentioned, I think completely get what we’ve been arguing for a long time. It’s the obvious fact that we are facing a totalitarian ideology, that under the traditions of Islam, the authoritative practice of Islam – not by all Muslims, but by the authorities of the faith. It’s called sharia, and if imposed on anybody else, including on us, would be horrific,” he told SiriusXM host Alex Marlow.
“Those who have been pointing this out are the subject of intensive efforts by George Soros – we know that from WikiLeaks, by the way – by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the discredited SPLC, by the Center for American Progress, by a whole host of Islamist front groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations… their agenda is clearly taking down the Trump administration. They’re using us to try to get at him,” Gaffney charged.
“When you point out these factual points, I think it’s pretty clear most Americans as they think about it understand, their common sense tells them there is a problem with these things. We need to address it clearly. I think what President Trump is trying to do, with his efforts to get at the threat posed by what he calls radical Islamic terrorism, is to deal with these things correctly and seriously,” he said.
“That’s something that’s anathema to all the people I just mentioned, and I’m disappointed with the people that are using it to try to beat him up. It really is a critically important point: Don’t go with the vilification, go with the substance. The substance, I think, bears out what Donald Trump is trying to do, which is to eradicate this threat. It’s high time, and I’m all behind him,” Gaffney declared.
Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
