Democratic pollster and political analyst Pat Caddell spoke to Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow Friday about the anniversary of September 11, 2001.
Caddell said:
I think that when we look back, I think that what happened that day is still something that we should not dismiss. I mean, I think that everyone should watch the story on this day. I mean, actually watch the broadcast that morning —the couple hours, from the time the first plane hits, till the Towers collapse because it is so shaking, to see the firefighters and the people … those workers going up those Towers to try to save people. To remember the fear, to remember what was happening — it’s really important because we tend to, as time goes on, we tend to forget, what it meant to see our country attacked on our own soil.
“It was,” he continued, “very powerful. And then also remember how united we were as a country in our determination. I remember I lived in Hollywood. … I remember people with American flags in their cars … the sense of love for country and of coming together.”
Caddell asserted that this has “been lost as we have denigrated our mission in fighting the people who caused this,” adding, “And it’s been a long, hard fight that continues to go on in the world. And yet we now see a country totally divided by our politicians and the political class and by the mainstream media.”
Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
