Police are searching for a knife-wielding man carrying a toddler in a stroller after he threatened a New York City subway rider for calling him out on his allegedly abusive behavior, according to a video released Sunday.
The video shows the suspect with the stroller brandishing a knife at the victim on June 24 on a Manhattan subway, yelling at the man to get off the train with him.
Authorities told the New York Post the suspect hit his son, who appeared to be a toddler, on the northbound E train before it reached the West 4th Street station at 3:30 p.m. that day.
Police said another passenger on the subway with his wife and child got into a verbal dispute with the suspect about him hitting his child.
The suspect then allegedly told the victim to “suck my d**k.”
“It’s my kid, n*****! Worry about your own kid, n*****!” and repeatedly yelled “suck my d**k,” officials said.
The video shows the suspect allegedly spitting at the victim and his family through the subway doors before fleeing the scene.
Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a bandanna around his neck and a red shirt.
The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the suspect to call its Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
