Poll: Joe Biden’s Favorability Drops to Four-Year Low

President Joe Biden’s favorability among Americans sits at a four-year low as the embattled octogenarian seeks a second term in office, Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) polling found Wednesday.

Only 37 percent of Americans hold a favorable view of Biden, while 60 percent hold an unfavorable view, marking his worse unfavorable rating dating back to 2019. During the 2020 election cycle, the pollster found Biden’s favorability rating slightly fell from 42 percent in October 2019. His highest favorability was 55 percent after he assumed office.

The president’s favorability among Democrats is 80 percent, the poll found. Among the 80 percent who view Biden favorably, only 32 percent view Joe Biden very favorably. Just three in ten independents (30 percent) and six percent of Republicans view Joe Biden favorably.

The 80-year-old’s current favorability among Democrats (80 percent) falls just short of the Democrat average favorability of former Barack Obama (81 percent), according to Pew Research. However, Americans held a 64 percent overall favorable impression of Obama in December 2016, a 27 point difference.

The poll sampled 2,525 Americans from August 25-30 with a 2.1 point margin of error. PRRI conducted the poll through “generous support” from the Open Society Foundations, a grantmaking network founded by business magnate George Soros, a far-left billionaire activist.

The polling comes as Biden suffers from a string of defeats and scandals. During his tenure, the nation experienced the deadly Afghan withdrawal, inflation soared, gas prices spiked, Russia invaded Ukraine, and Hamas inflicted terror on Israeli civilians, all while migrants invade the U.S. southern border.

Perhaps the largest scandal engulfing Biden and his family are their business dealings.

Last week, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) provided a direct financial link between his family’s business and Joe Biden.

“We finally have direct evidence of money laundering,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) exclusively told Breitbart News on Friday. “It was a $200,000 check made out to Joe Biden, directly from Jim Biden, on the exact same day that Jim Biden had received $200,000 from a foreign investment.”
