Protesters surrounded Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s Greensboro, North Carolina, home on Sunday, one day after the far-left Shutdown D.C. held a protest at his Washington, DC, residence.
The protests follow Democrat claims last week that the Trump administration is trying to interfere with vote-by-mail efforts in the 2020 presidential election.
“This is what democracy looks like,” protesters chanted as they flooded the neighborhood and disrupted the Wyndham Championship taking place at a nearby golf course.
“We need to keep the pressure on,” protestor Jim Mencius said in a Greensboro News & Record report. “We need to make some good trouble. The president has said he wants to cripple the post office.”
As Breitbart News reported, the far-left group Shutdown D.C. descended on DeJoy’s home in Washington, DC, on Saturday.
The protest came after Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), among others, last week asked the USPS inspector general to investigate ‘all recent staffing and policy changes put in place’ by Mr. DeJoy,” the New York Times reported.
