More than a week after Barack Obama had done so, Hillary Clinton finally endorsed Joe Biden’s run for the presidency on Tuesday.

“I am thrilled to be part of your campaign to not only endorse you but to help highlight a lot of the issues that are at stake in this presidential election,” Clinton said.

While talking about the plight of women during the coronavirus pandemic, Clinton said:

I want to add my voice to the many who have endorsed you to be our president. Just think of the difference it would make right now if we had a president who not only listened to the science, put facts over fiction, but brought us together.

As Biden introduced Clinton, he said, “I’m really thrilled to have my friend, a former senator, former Secretary of State, a woman who should be President of the United States right now.”

Biden later said he wished the livestream was being done “in my supporting your reelection for President of the United States.”
