Concealed Permit Holder Shoots, Kills Alleged Attacker in Fast Food Parking Lot

BJ Baldwin, president of Baldwin Motorsports Las Vegas, shot and killed a suspect Wednesday who allegedly opened fire on Baldwin and his girlfriend following a late dinner.

KLAS reports that incident occurred around 2 a.m., as Baldwin and his girlfriend were walking through the parking lot to their car. Two men allegedly approached them and one of the men pulled a gun and opened fire.

The girlfriend ran for cover as Baldwin returned fire, killing one of the suspects.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that approximately 15 shots in total appeared to be have been fired between the alleged attacker and Baldwin.

Baldwin Motorsports released a statement on the incident:

Baldwin has as valid concealed carry license and the incident is being treated as “justifiable homicide.”
