Simona Mangiante Papadopoulos, wife of former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, hit back at the media for suggesting she was a Russian spy, or making other derogatory claims, in a recent exclusive interview with Breitbart News.
She said in an interview on Thursday:
To all the journalists trying to make up the most unlikely allegation about myself and George — I would tell them they’re laughable, they didn’t even affect my peace of mind, because when lies are so reckless you get to know not to scared of anything.
So believe if you like that I’m a Russian agent that I forged my passport, that I’m George’s handler, and that I don’t love him. They will never experience what I did, and they will never know of course what it means to love through such a story, that if it’s not love, ok, keep fantasizing, but they should be more clever about lies they make up.
In one case, Simona and George appeared on ABC’s The View in September 11, 2018. During the interview, host Joy Behar questioned whether Simona was a spy, questioned her Italian accent, and whether her family was Russian.
The two have been speaking out about what they experienced over the last two years, which George has detailed in a new book, Deep State Target.
