Ted Malloch Decries Rise of American Marxism

Marxism and socialism have swung into fashion in America, laments Ted Malloch, just when they seemed ready to be swept into the dustbin of history.

Although the system has failed disastrously wherever it has been applied, from the Soviet Union to Cuba and from Venezuela to North Korea, Malloch notes in an article Wednesday, the Democrat Party seems poised to embrace socialism to its bosom.

According to Malloch, the author of America’s Spiritual Capital along with other works, an increasing number of Democrat congresspeople are “willing to accept the mantle of Marx and rallying around outright Socialism.”

In his analysis, Malloch mentions Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren, although others seem ready to follow.

While Socialist ideas such as nationalization of industry, redistribution of wealth, class warfare, and greater state control over the lives of citizens have always enjoyed favor among the American Left, few were willing to embrace outright the title of Communist or Socialists.

Until now.

America’s neo-Marxist Democrats seem ignorant of socialism’s dark history, Malloch notes, and are now pushing “Medicare for all, a $15 dollar minimum wage, a 70-90% tax rate, an end to all PAC money, the end of the petro industry, and what is termed ‘social justice.’”

These new socialists “are out to transform America, making our country into a foreign and unrecognizable place,” he states.

The fact that President Trump’s warning of “the new calls to adopt socialism” in Tuesday’s State of the Union address met with “boos” from his audience suggests that the poison has already entered the system, Malloch notes.
